Imaginary Tiger Friend

  I’ve been a fan of a certain boy and his tiger friend ever since I was little, and even won a school speech contest extolling his virtues. Now you can have your own tiger friend or make one for the little one in your life. But don’t be surprised when they come in from school looking like they’ve been attacked and thrown in the mud.

Materials: DK weight yarn- Approximately 600 yds Orange, 250 yds Black & 150yds White. (Sample was made with 8 balls RYC “Cashsoft DK” 5 Orange, 2 Black, 1 White-142yds per ball) Size F 4mm hook. Tapestry or yarn needle. Polyfil stuffing.

Finished dimensions: 17” tall

Gauge: 6sts & 7 rnds per inch



Cattywampuss

  This adorable amigurumi cutie was inspired by my Grandmother’s kitties Chipper, and Joey who were both beautiful Havana Browns. Amigurumi is taking over the online crochet community, its deceptively easy (using only single crochet in the round), and usually very cute.

Materials: about 150 yds any gauge yarn. Hook size will vary with yarn gauge, use the smallest if not 1 size smaller than yarn label suggests. (Sample was made with Filatura di Crosa “Zara” and an F hook and is 6 1/2” tall) Optional: Eyes, thread for nose and beads for whiskers.

Kitties All Around- Cat Bed

  This round cat bed comforts your kitty and give them a nice place to catnap. Notice the little kitty pattern around the side.

Materials: Worsted Weight yarn. Approximately 400 yards. (Sample was made with 2 skeins Berroco Comfort, 1 each color. 50% Super Fine Nylon, 50% Super Fine Acrylic. 210 yds per skein.) Size G 4.0 mm hook.

Gauge: 5 hdc & 3½ rows per inch.
Dimensions: 13 inches in Diameter, 4 ½inches high.



Kitties in a Stocking
